Ads should be made in CMYK -- not RGB. Acceptable electronic file types: PDF files: must be
generated for high-res press quality, CMYK. Fonts must be embedded; TIFF or EPS: CMYK;
JPGS: Hi-res, CMYK; Adobe InDesign files: CMYK, hi-res press quality settings. Please do not
submit Pagemaker, Quark, Microsoft Publisher or Adobe Illustrator files. 50% additional cost for
us to design the ad for you. One month lead time required. Files may be submitted on floppy, Zip
Disk, CD-Rom or via email at banjonews@comcast.net.

Classifieds
Classifieds will be accepted at the rate or 50 cents a word for Banjo and Musical items. The first
two
words will be set in BOLD CAPITALS. Ads will be classified according to the categories of
Instruments, Instruction, Accessories, Recordings, and Custom. Ads must be received by the first
day of the month preceding publication (although if you get the ads and payment in by the 7th of
the month, there's a good chance that they will get in for the next month). Count as one word any
grouping of letters or numerals. Hyphenated words count as two words. Ads can also be set in
lower case bold for 60 cents a word (the complete ad or portions). The complete ad in this
typeface will also have the first two words set in BOLD CAPITALS. THE ENTIRE AD CAN BE
SET IN UPPER CASE AT 70 CENTS A WORD. Certain words in any of the above formats
can be highlighted with BOLD CAPITALS at 70 cents a word, or bold lower case at 60 cents a
word. Minimum charge for all ads: $12.50.
